Summer

Se que lo sabes, pero te lo recuerdo. Es verano, tiempo de largas tardes de sol, de comer helado, beber cañas y gin tonics, viajar o quedarte en casa, tomar el sol, usar protección, ponerte todo aquello que en invierno no puedes, enseñar las piernas y probar peinados nuevos. Es el momento de esa camiseta que no combina con ninguno de tus abrigos, de esos pendientes que por su tamaño serían inviables con un jersey de cuello alto. Da la vuelta a tu armario y reinventa!

I know you know it, anyway I tell you. It's summer, the time of long sunny evenings, time to eat ice-cream, to drink cold bear and gin tonic, to travel or to stay at home. Time to sunbathe, to use sunscreen. To put on everything you can not wear during winter, to show your legs and to try new hair styles. It is the moment for that t-shirt which doesn't fit with any of your coats, or those earrings that are so big that they can not go together with a turtleneck. Have a look at the clothes you no longer wear and make something new with them!

Live in your terrace!

Hasta que vine a vivir a Dinamarca pensaba que se necesitaban muchos metros cuadrados para disfrutar de una terraza, pero aquí se crean verdaderas maravillas en un simple cuadradito al lado tu ventana.

Yo soy bastante afortunada, y dentro de que mi terraza no es excesivamente grande, tengo el suficiente espacio para unas flores, una mesa donde disfrutar de cafes y largas comidas, y una indispensable barbacoa para las laaaargas noches soleadas de verano.

Por eso desde que llegó la primavera paso más horas fuera que dentro. En España las terrazas son un sitio para acumular trastos. En Dinamarca es el sitio donde absorber el mayor número de horas de luz antes de que llegue el oscuro y largo invierno.

Since I came to Denmark I realized that you don't need a big space to enjoy a terrace. You can create cozy spaces in a small square close to your window.

I'm lucky enough to have space in my terrace for a barbecue, a table where to have coffee and long lunches and ofcourse flowers and more flowers.

So, you can imagine that since spring I spend more time outside than inside. In Spain, small terraces are the place where people leave junk. In Denmark, it is where one´s takes advantage of all the light hours before coming back to the dark and long winter.
